English lessons
your child will
actually enjoy.

(no, really — they ask to come back.)

Warm, encouraging, and completely tailored to your child. Every lesson feels like a conversation — not a test.

My child hates English class.

I hear this from almost every parent before we start. By the third lesson, the same child is asking if we can go longer.

Kids don't hate English. They hate feeling judged for getting it wrong. My lessons are a safe place to make mistakes — and that's exactly where the learning happens.

Sound familiar?

Your child dreads lessons.
You dread the battles that follow.

Progress feels slow. Confidence is low. Every session ends in frustration — for everyone in the house.

A few lessons later…

She logged on early!
she just took the computer and started the lesson herself.

That's what happens when learning finally feels like something they chose.

Fair question

What does a lesson

actually look like?

How it works

50 minutes.
One child. Just us.

Every lesson is built around what your child is actually interested in - their favourite books, games, films... whatever gets them talking. Because a child who wants to speak will speak.

I also use flashcards to support vocabulary and make learning more visual and engaging - especially for younger learners.

Lessons are usually 50 minutes, but we can split them into two 25-minute sessions. Same quality, just easier to focus and digest. After every lesson, I send you a quick update - what we worked on, what clicked, and one simple thing to try at home. No homework piles. No pressure.

Selma teaching a lesson

My daughter used to cry before English class. After one session with Selma, she asked if she could have an extra lesson that week.

Hey, I'm Selma

I've taught over 500 kids.(and I still love it.)

I know how to make a 7-year-old laugh and keep a 15-year-old genuinely engaged in the same afternoon. Every child is different, and every lesson reflects that.

What I care about most isn't test scores. It's the moment a shy kid stops second-guessing themselves and just… answers. That moment never gets old.
